Full Job Description
The Packaging Production Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant packaging of pharmaceutical products as the company ramp up production efforts by 3x. you will oversee a team of packaging technicians, manage production schedules and uphold high standard cGMP requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of packaging technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet productivity and quality goals.
- Schedule and allocate tasks to team members, optimizing production efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure all packaging activities comply with cGMP and other regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee quality control checks and inspections to maintain product integrity.
- Investigate and resolve packaging-related deviations and non-conformities.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and company objectives.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as Manufacturing and Quality Control, to ensure a seamless production process.
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to packaging operations.
- Ensure that packaging equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain a safe and organized packaging area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of packaging activities and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and submit reports on production performance, quality metrics, and any deviations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant life science field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging
- At least 1 years supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- Proficiency in using computer software for documentation and reporting.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement training is highly advantageous
- Experience with automated packaging equipment and serialization systems.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical product serialization and track-and-trace requirements.
