Power BI Developer/Analyst - Chicago Area

Attadale is a Chicago-based consultancy with patents in advanced speech analytics, and we are seeking an outstanding Power BI Developer to develop interactive dashboards that will help our clients to measure, monitor, and manage their business.

We seek an experienced Power BI developer to join our Chicago office who is passionate about data, visualization, and insights, and who understands the impact of visually stunning data presentation. You will have demonstrated experience with Power BI, Power Flow, and the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall operation of an enterprise scale installation, associated operational and functional demands, and managing fixes and enhancements
• Work closely with business subject matter experts to ensure that requirements and security protocols are met; properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources
• Work with business stakeholders to design and build visual reports and dashboards using modern Power BI as a business intelligence tool
• Work with business users to continuously improve existing dashboards, reports, and datasets
• Create new and optimize existing ETL’s and data transformation processes to support ongoing development; analyze large and complex external and internal datasets
• Collaborate with data scientists to understand models and advanced analytics solutions and identify optimal approaches to visualize and report dynamic outputs aligned to product owner and new product development needs
• Collaborate with data engineers to design the architecture required to support visualization applications and to ensure sustainable and timely data pipelines and successful implementation and maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI solutions into business processes; enable business partners to leverage Business Intelligence tools for their analytical needs
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality.
• Manage and track break/fix and enhancement development by the report development team
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization.

Requirements

Attadale would like to hear from candidates who can demonstrate their ability to deliver real world results, and the capabilities and aptitude to inject as much value into this role as expected, and who ideally have:

• Located in the Chicago area or South Bend, Indiana area
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Advanced experience manipulating data and creating complex ETL processes to build logical data schemas
• 4+ years of hands-on professional creation of advanced data visualization and self-service tools and dashboards
• Deep experience with tools such as Power BI including MS PL300 or MS PL 400 certifications
• Advanced visualization and report design and development skills, and have a portfolio you are proud to share
• Experience in tabular and multidimensional queries
• Experience working with business stakeholders, including Product Owners and Developers
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills
