Jacuzzi Group, a leading manufacturer of hot tubs, swim spas, baths, showers, saunas, and pool equipment, is seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. With their headquarters in California and operations all over the world, Jacuzzi Group has been providing innovative wellness solutions for over 65 years.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating and improving manufacturing processes and systems in our Roselle, IL plant. This role would be perfect for someone from the automotive industry! Someone with experience in a Quality background (or quality/safety first thought process) is a HUGE plus.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sustaining plant activity by troubleshooting issues on the floor, root cause analysis and documentation.
  • Designing and implementing manufacturing processes and systems to maximize efficiency and quality
  • Being the "bridge" between Engineering and Manufacturing departments
  • Develop, document, implement and teach new SOPs/work instructions.
  • Designing new fixtures - using creative/analytical thought processes to help design and create new fixtures
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production goals and initiatives
  • Developing and implementing equipment and tooling specifications
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Annual Pay: $100,000-$109,000 DOE

Requirements

Experience required:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Experience with process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
  • Expertise in manufacturing processes and technologies, such as machining, assembly, welding, and automation
  • Thermoforming and CNC machinery experience a HUGE bonus.
  • Proficiency in QMS (we use Dozki); SolidWorks (for modeling) or other CAD software; MasterCam (or other CNC programming tools)
  • Proficient in MS suite - able to utilitze excel for KPIs & Powerpoint for presentation decks.
  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge and experience in lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (Six Sigma - green or black belt a HUGE plus)

Skills and abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - doesn't wait for direction, but figures out the problem and can then proactively present those solutions to upper management
  • Creative, analytical, engineer brain
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills amongst all levels (from C-Suite to Production team)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment while being managed from afar
  • Quality and safety first - Perfect the process and build safety and quality INTO the process
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Bilingual a plus
