Maintenance Mechanic - Food Packaging
2nd Shift (3 PM-1 AM)
Are you a skilled maintenance mechanic looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise? We are seeking a talented and dedicated professional to repair, maintain, and enhance our food packaging lines. You'll also play a crucial role in building maintenance and equipment repair in our blending areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate & Communicate: Work directly with our Plant Engineer to coordinate maintenance and repair activities in our process areas.
- Set Priorities: Partner with the Plant Engineer to prioritize equipment rebuilds and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Proactive Scheduling: Team up with the lead mechanic and coordinator to schedule planned maintenance downtime effectively.
- Provide Valuable Feedback: Regularly report back to the Plant Engineer with updates and insights.
- Execute Preventive Maintenance: Complete monthly preventive maintenance (PM) tasks accurately and thoroughly.
- Engage in Training: Participate actively in our maintenance training programs to continuously improve your skills.
- Utilize Technology: Use E-Mant to verify PM compliance, assign tasks, and close out work orders efficiently.
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and repair malfunctioning parts and equipment using various test equipment and meters.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA Safety and Health standards and our company’s GMPs and Safety Regulations.
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 3-5 years as a Maintenance Mechanic in industrial and manufacturing settings.
- Mechanical Skills: A strong mechanical background is essential. Electrical experience is a major plus.
- Equipment Expertise: Experience with packaging equipment, bagging machines, and conveyors, especially familiar with Allen Bradley and Hayssen products.
- Problem-Solver: Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Initiative & Time Management: Self-starter with strong time management skills to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Technology Savvy: Comfortable using a tablet to complete tasks.
- Safety Conscious: Knowledgeable in human and food safety practices.
- Adaptability: Capable of handling pressure and stressful situations with ease.
- Independence: Able to work independently and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational school education is a plus.
- Willing to undergo a background check and drug test.
- No food allergies due to the nature of our manufacturing process.
