Wow Bao is searching for a Key Account Manager to join the team! The Key Account Manager will be responsible for growing the Wow Bao's Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) business by managing active accounts.
This Key Account Manager position perfectly embodies that ambition, as you will own & be responsible for the Wow Bao's CPG business. The Key Account Manager serves as the liaison between Wow Bao and the Grocers leading all selling activities & driving efforts tied to improving our financial & market share profile. The Key Account Manager aims to deliver revenue and share objectives, pursue business strategies for growth, provide category management expertise, and ensure that coordinated cross-functional sales value is delivered to the customer through implementation of the sales plan and shelving objectives.
Wow Bao’s CPG vertical has experienced 4000%+ growth over the past 12 months. We are looking to bring in someone who has the desire to be a part of one of the fastest frozen CPG brands in the country. We are looking for a person who has a desire to grow within the role and be an integral part of the CPG sales team.
More than 21 years old, Wow Bao is a Chicago-based omni-channel brand that operates in several store fronts, as well as in over 700 virtual kitchens across the country. Additionally, our portfolio includes airports, universities, hotels, hot food vending machines, and e-commerce.

Requirements
- Effectively partner with the customer and broker, building rapport at all levels to fully understand their business, the marketplace, and affect positive business growth
- Achieve New Item Authorization goals, Distribution growth, and Share Growth
- Manage promotional activity for customers, validating promotions, measuring effectiveness and making sure promotional tactics align with Wow Bao strategy
- Utilize Spins Data to evaluate retailer performance and report out to leadership health of customers
- Maintain files / documents and salesforce relating to retailers' items and notes
- Maintain item setup tools and reporting platforms.
- Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives
- Assist with forecasting and demand planning process
- Assist with food shows, trade shows, and off-site events
- Perform calmly and effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Other tasks and projects assigned on an as needed basis
- Travel is required for this role up to 40%.
Required Experience/Skills:
- 3+ years proven & tested experience in customer management, account management, and/or retail sales management for a CPG company
- Tested ability to own business process and Category management through a complex Sales position
- Proven skills embodying a customer-first mentality for effective customer management and selling to achieve objectives
- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving capability with experience using data; Nielsen, IRI, Syndicate/panel data familiarity a plus
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge and experience working with databases
- Experience in PowerPoint and building customer presentations
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all policies, procedures and standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Handbook Supplements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
