Junior Underwriter

Title: Underwriter

Location: Chicago, IL

Cabrera Capital Markets, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and underwriting various securities.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and analyze potential investment opportunities, including municipal bonds, corporate bonds, and other fixed-income securities
• Conduct thorough due diligence on issuers, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment
• Prepare underwriting reports and investment memoranda
• Collaborate with sales and trading teams to develop marketing materials and strategies
• Manage and maintain relationships with issuers, investors, and other stakeholders
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing investments
• Stay informed about market trends, regulations, and industry developments
• Contribute to the development and improvement of underwriting and credit risk assessment processes
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Underwriter or in a similar role
• Series 27 license is required within 60 days of hire
• Strong understanding of fixed-income markets and securities
• Experience conducting financial analysis and due diligence
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
