Full Job Description
CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Junior Network and Computer System Administrator supporting the Global Air Transportation Execution System - Deployable GATES (DGATES)/ Remote GATES (RGATES) system support team. The Junior Network and Computer System Administrator will support users in a critical transportation logistics system for the DoD. They will be the public face of IT to internal and external customers to ensure end user experience surpasses expectations.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Installing, configuring, and supporting the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
- Monitoring network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.
- May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
- May also assist in designing and implementing network and computer security measures.
- Monitoring and responding to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems.
- Interfacing with vendor support groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
- Providing quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing security software products.
- May answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically.
- Coordinating software/hardware installations.
- Developing solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
- Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:
- 0-10% / Minimal travel expected.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. (Eligible to pass Federal security clearance process. Please visit the link for FAQs: https://www.dcsa.mil/mc/pv/mbi/gicp/)
- Must have one of the following certifications: Comp TIA Security+, CECCNA-Security, CySA+ **, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
- Experience working in a Help Desk environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and strong documentation skills, and demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Celeen will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current, active Secret security clearance.
- Experience in a Department of Defense environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Global Air Transportation Execution System (GATES) desired.
