Who You Are:
Museum of Ice Cream is looking for an eager and ambitious Ice Cream Handler to join our fun-filled team. You are collaborative, adaptable, and self motivated! The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. Most importantly, you are creative at heart and have a passion for ice cream and other tasty treats.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Follow the prep list created by MOIC leadership to plan duties
- Maintain food storage facilities at the highest level such as walk coolers and freezers
- Ensure dishwashing equipment and area is always maintained to the highest standards
- Responsible for stocking ice cream stations in various rooms in the museum
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as making syrups, cutting garnishes, etc.
- Maintain the back of house area by keeping clean and orderly kitchen operations and wash, sanitize and disinfect surfaces
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen/cafe/bar duties as assigned
- Assist in washing and restocking glassware for bar/ cafe items,
- Serve ice cream and other treats to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Requirements
- You are 18 years or older
- Have open availability including weekends
- 1+ year of previous preparation/ line cook experience in high volume establishments
- You have the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time, up to 8 hours
- Food Handler or ServeSafe certification required
- Ability to lift heavy objects of up to 40 pounds
- Ability improvise under a multitude of circumstances

Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time
Pay: Starting at $18 per hour
