JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President will be a business partner working closely with the CEO on all operational and strategic matters. The VP should have demonstrated an entrepreneurial “ownership mentality” in prior roles and the aptitude to lead all facets of the Company’s operation. The VP will share responsibilities with other members of the senior management team to achieve / exceed productivity gains, profit improvement, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
The Vice President will be an experienced leader who infuses execution excellence, energy, urgency and accountability into the entire company. The new VP will be a champion of a winning culture and inspire people with a can-do attitude and a hands-on leader on the plant floor. They will lead the organization in driving a daily KPI culture where opportunities are identified and pursued with passion. The VP will provide vision and leadership to the organization; actively driving aggressive financial objectives, attractive operating margins, with high product quality, client focus and delivery standards across the operation.
- Partner with the CEO and senior team to strategically position the Company for significant growth, EBITDA margin improvement and gross margin improvement.
- Inspire and build a manufacturing organization based on LEAN manufacturing. Drive continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology to ensure the Company’s productivity gains are repeatable and scalable. Incorporate process and documentation in the culture of the organization.
- Work across the organization to apply a data driven approach to every department so everyone participates and sees value in daily KPIs. They will embrace technology but also care deeply about personal relationships.
- They will become a definitive leader by valuing and respecting the workforce, learning the business and bringing the tools and discipline necessary to make the Company a world-class manufacturer.
- With high EQ, along with the broader Executive Leadership Team, act as the face of transformation at all levels of the organization by setting the tone, spurring enthusiasm, and challenging the status quo. Lead a culture of growth, supported by the continued development of appropriate infrastructure, processes and operational efficiencies to integrate recent acquisitions, maximize current financial performance, maintain the highest standard of quality and corporate integrity/compliance, and support the overall growth strategy.
- Lead supply chain and purchasing to ensure products are cost effective and on time.
- Position themself as a visible and accessible key leader of the Company and customers by taking a “hands on” approach and driving a culture of customer service, quality, accountability, and integrity.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES
- Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with private equity sponsored companies; ideally, high growth businesses in the middle market.
- Five plus years managing multiple distant locations nationally. Global experience is a plus.
- Ten plus years of manufacturing operations experience.
- Experience building and adapting an organization in a high growth environment. They will have experience integrating and getting a multi-location footprint under single, best practice operating procedures. International experience a plus.
- Ability to multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment, including being able to adapt readily to frequent changes in processes and priorities.
- Experience leading continuous process improvement in a lean manufacturing business with custom engineered products. Passion for productivity gains in a highly customized, built-to-spec manufacturing environment.
- Engineering background with three plus years of experience in high volume precision CNC machining.
- Strong organization leadership with team building experience with strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Experience partnering with long tenured employees and making sure methodologies are documented and built into standards.
- Deep analytical horsepower and experience in use of metrics / KPI’s to make decisions and drive performance.
- Drive a strong culture focused on winning.
- High level customer service mentality where service is the number one priority with On Time Delivery and shortened lead times to fulfill orders.
- Build a high performing culture through the development and coaching of direct reports and their teams.
- Strong understanding of Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, Accounting, and other key business systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- An undergraduate degree is required. An MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- Must have experience in most/all Required Skills listed above.
- Must have experience in a Machining organization (CNC)

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
- Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
- Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
- Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.
