Energy Efficiency Account Manager

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Account Manager to join our growing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) outreach team in Chicago . As an Energy Efficiency Account Manager on the C&I outreach team with Resource Innovations, you will engage with and reach out to utility client customers, connecting them with available energy efficiency upgrades, and incentive opportunities and maximize participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs in Illinois.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach, educate, and assist customers, so they may effectively participate in utility energy efficiency programs by identifying and implementing energy efficiency strategies.
• Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with customers.
• Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new and retain current customers.
• Help customers identify qualifying projects and associated incentives.
• Support customer application completion, submission, and follow-up.
• Respond to program inquiries.
• Train and support customers to use new software programs.
• Represent Resource Innovations or client(s) at industry trade shows.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree or three years of energy efficiency or sustainability industry experience.
• Minimum 1-3 years of work experience, preferably with customer service and sales with utility energy efficiency or customer solution programs.
• A background in outreach, energy efficiency measures and/or methods (e.g., LED lighting and HVAC), or other building-related experience is preferred.
• Knowledgeable about energy efficiency strategies.
• Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• Problem solver, organized, and detail oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly and use them proficiently (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Salesforce).
• Confidence with the ability to quickly build trusting relationships and sell concepts to all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously and be a customer-focused problem solver.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a valid U.S. driver’s license and a personal vehicle to visit customer sites.
• Must be able to travel locally, up to approximately 30% of the time (mainly day travel).
