Job Title: Director of Operations
Location: Peoria, IL Area (Relocation Provided)
Company Overview: Join a global specialty chemicals company dedicated to solving preservation challenges through advanced science.
Role Overview: Lead and ensure the success of the site in growth and execution, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees and the surrounding community. Deliver on key operational metrics, including safety, environmental, quality, production, spending, and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to direct reports and site employees.
- Develop and execute production strategies.
- Maintain a positive relationship with the Union.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing, ensuring regulatory compliance and budget control.
- Ensure production capacity meets customer needs and future requirements.
- Manage community relations proactively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (MBA preferred).
- 3-4 years of experience as a Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, or Production Manager.
- Experience with Hazardous Material and PSM.
- Union experience highly preferred.
