About Bold Ventures
Bold Ventures is a strategic advisory firm that supports individuals, families, foundations, and donor communities who are committed to eliminating disparities through relationship, repair, and the redistribution of wealth. Our work to disrupt traditional philanthropy, and to support impactful leaders in advancing racial equity, was born out of our direct experiences and interaction with philanthropy, and a desire to see this sector work differently.
We recognize that lasting, meaningful change requires a deep understanding of complex dynamics that drive inequities, and we are committed to the exchange of ideas and experiences that deepen our understanding and support the development of a more just and equitable world. We design and facilitate opportunities to learn and reflect together, surface bold ideas, and co-create impactful outcomes. Our partnerships are various and include Arnold Ventures, Chicago Foundation for Women, Democracy Fun, Patagonia, and the Pritzker Traubert Foundation, among others. Learn more at alltogetherbold.com
About the Director Role
The Director is a new leadership role for our organization, and will join the team at an important time in our 3-year history. As more individuals and families continue to decide how best to distribute new or generational wealth, Bold Ventures aims to continue to be a critical thought partner in their decision making. To continue to support new individuals and families who want our experience and support, we seek an entrepreneurial philanthropic advisor who has a track record of securing and building trusting relationships within these circles and an interest in helping build our influence and impact in this critical and burgeoning area of wealth management.
The Director will focus on networking for new business and referrals via their contacts along with leads sourced by the CEO, and providing start to finish strategy and support for client engagements. This leader will also help assist with our external efforts to share content and lessons learned from our experiences leading this meaningful work. The Director will have full access to the Bold Ventures team for camaraderie, collaboration and thought partnership and participate in all team building activities, including our annual team retreat. They will also have access to a full suite of resources, such as administrative support, backend software and tech support, along with branded templates, processes and frameworks that can be used to support new partnership engagements.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented philanthropic advisor and strategist who is passionate about our mission and energized by securing and leading new partnerships. The Director will represent Bold Ventures externally, so a values-aligned leader who can skillfully represent the organization to potential partners and the broader public is a must.

- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and identify the best course of action across all work streams
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor and external representative to partners and broader audiences
