Full Job Description

Charles Vincent George (CVG) Architects is seeking to hire a part-time Digital Communications Coordinator who would work closely with the firm’s Office Manager and Consulting Chief Marketing Officer (CCMO) on recurring digital communications initiatives specific to website, email campaigns, and social media. This hourly role is envisioned as requiring 16-20 Hours over 3-4 days per week and can be filled as an in-office, hybrid, or remote position. Key responsibilities include:

Website Updates / Maintenance

Create a tool to keep track of job progress and update accordingly

  • Schedule time to reach out to Project Managers (PMs) for job updates
  • Track imagery deliverables (plans/sections/elevations, renderings, photography)
  • Based on training to be provided for the website’s back-end/custom-built Content Management System (CMS), add new jobs to “In Design” (On-the-Boards) section of website
  • Move to correct sector on website as job progresses and keep both job descriptions and imagery up-to-date
  • Update “Insights” section of website with newly published Thought Leadership/Articles
  • Coordinate with website consultant and internal technical resources, as needed, for other ad hoc website updates requested

Implementing Email Campaigns

Check Communications Plan in Google Drive for each month’s planned campaigns:

Promotional & Thought Leadership Campaigns -

  • Coordinate with Consulting CMO, create ~3 segmented Promotional eBlasts per month based on a predetermined, but flexible sector; and/or recently authored Thought Leadership articles
  • Reach out to PMs for specific job information needed
  • Set up campaigns in MailChimp and link the appropriate distribution list(s) based on tags/categories
  • As needed, import new contacts/lists to MailChimp based on export of contacts for the company’s database (ACT)
  • Obtain appropriate internal approvals and get final approval from CEO before sending

Bi-Annual Newsletter

  • Work with Office Manager and Consulting CMO to conceptualize content for each newsletter
  • As needed, crowd-source content from sector leaders and PMs
  • Locate photos per PMs preferences / create images as needed
  • Draft narrative content for each sector update, follow up for approval from PMs
  • Follow similar approach as above for implementation.
  • Obtain final approval from CEO before sending

Reporting & Analytics

  • Regularly analyze performance of campaigns, share reports (open and click rates), and modify/evolve the approach and content as needed.

Social Media Support:

  • Review social media posts drafted by external Marketing Consultant, revise as needed
  • Gather images and upload to Google Drive as requested
  • Facilitate internal approvals

Reinitiating & Maintaining Pinterest & Houzz

  • Coordinate with CCMO to develop and implement comprehensive Pinterest & Houzz strategies aligned with the firm's business development and marketing goals.
  • Identify target audiences and create content strategies to engage them effectively.
  • Review current set ups and optimize the firm's profile to reflect the brand accurately and attract potential clients. Ensure all profile information, including contact details and service offerings, are up-to-date and complete.
  • Work with designers and project managers to gather content and information for profile updates.

For Pinterest - Work with Office Manager to curate/design visually appealing and high-quality pins showcasing the firm's projects and design processes:

  • Organize and optimize boards and pins for better user experience and discoverability.
  • Optimize pin descriptions, titles, and board descriptions with targeted keywords to improve search visibility.
  • Experiment with new pin formats, such as video pins and story pins, to keep the content fresh and engaging.

For Houzz - Curate and upload detailed project portfolios with high-quality images, project descriptions, and client testimonials:

  • Highlight unique design aspects and architectural solutions to showcase the firm's expertise.
  • Maintain a consistent flow of new project uploads, blog posts, and updates to keep the profile active and engaging.
  • Utilize Houzz's features like Ideabooks and Photo Stream to organize and present content attractively.

For both channels - Employ best practices and replicable process including:

  • Regularly conduct keyword research to identify relevant and trending terms in the architectural and design industry.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure imagery used has client approvals and is the most up-to-date
  • Regularly update and maintain both accounts, ensuring a consistent posting schedule.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, messages, inquiries, reviews, and build a community around the firm's presence.
  • Follow and interact with industry influencers, potential clients, and relevant accounts to increase visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of pins/posts. Generate monthly reports to track growth, engagement, lead generation, and ROI, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Must have experience with MailChimp, content creation, and marketing.
