Cold Heading General Manager / Operator

Abbott Metal Werks, part of the Abbott Interfast family of companies, a leader and innovator in the fastener industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as General Manager/Operator of our newly formed Cold Heading Division. As an ISO-certified manufacturer and supplier, Abbott Metal Werks specializes in producing standard and custom fastener components through various methods, including cold heading. We take great pride in providing our customers with high-quality products and exceptional service. This position is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right individual to start and build a Cold Heading facility from the ground up.

Cold Heading Operator Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate cold heading machines to produce fastener components
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal working condition
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Experience with Jern Yao cold-headers is preferred
• *Must have experience with setting up and running cold heading machines
• Must have a passport for training overseas for 5 days

General Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the company
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives
• Hire, manage and motivate employees to ensure productivity and efficiency
• Monitor financial performance and make decisions to optimize profitability
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Help create a world-class manufacturing environment

Requirements

• Experience with set-up and operating cold heading machines in a manufacturing environment(Required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Understanding of quality control principles
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
• MUST BE A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES
• Experience in a leadership or management role preferred but not necessary
