Full Job Description
Responsible for serving beverages & food to members in a prompt, friendly manner and making drinks for servers to serve in dining room. Must be able to perform in a fast paced environment, be knowledgeable, confident and have a positive attitude.
- Greets members promptly
- Clearly and accurately describes all menu items (including bar and juice bar items) and answers basic questions regarding the menu
- Properly and accurately takes guest orders
- Has an understanding of common varietals and characteristics of wines, beers and bar stock
- Makes drinks that taste good and are properly portioned
- Demonstrates high level of proficiency in alcohol intervention procedures
- Has proficient POS skills
- Pays attention to server printer and makes their drinks accurately and timely
- Attends to bar cleanliness and presentation
- Acquires payment for all checks and maintains a cash drawer with no pattern of significant “walk outs,” shortages or overages.
- Completes all assigned opening and closing sidework including making accurate requisitions
- Responsible for being on time and properly punching in/out for shifts
- Ensures TVs are set to current home team games when applicable.
- Able to answer basic questions about Club services and Club events
- Able to address reasonable member requests
- Demonstrates resilience and flexibility when addressing unexpected changes in service.
- Use proper food handling procedures according to sanitation standards
- Fold napkins as needed
Requirements
- 3 Years of bartending experience in a full service environment
- Flexible schedule including weekends
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have Basset and Food Handler Certification
- Able to handle multiple tasks and stay organized
- Has strong communication skills
- Must be friendly and outgoing
