Applications Programmer

Position Summary
We are looking for a qualified Application Developer to design, code, and troubleshoot programs and applications. You will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision.
The main concentration is on creating efficient and maintainable code that achieves business and technical requirements. Maintenance of .NET Core applications. A strong understanding of T-SQL and SQL Server is needed.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Design and development of quality systems that integrate with our existing software, participation in application design discussions, and creation of technical design documentation that complies with our standards.
• Design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Web-based .NET Core applications using Visual Studio.
  Create, design, and maintain data warehouse objects in SQL Server for use with applications and reports, while adhering to standards and policies established by the DBA and 
• Development Manager.
• Support end users and assist in the installation, design, development, testing, and maintenance of Travel Studio and the integrated application software systems that support it and depend on it.
• Report design, development, implementation, and subscription setup utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Assist with other special projects or related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to program Web applications using Visual Studio 2019 or higher – .NET Core, Razor, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or higher including writing and optimizing T-SQL, stored procedures, parameters, functions, and SSIS.
• Experience creating/publishing reports and scheduling subscriptions using SQL Server Reporting Services 2016, Visual Studio 2019 or higher, and SharePoint.
• Experience with IIS, .NET framework, Web services.
• Ability to perform calmly under pressure while being adaptive and flexible.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must read/write/speak English.

Education and Additional Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent years of experience
• Windows Server 2016 and higher
• Internet technology - HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.
• Knowledge/experience with Power BI a plus
