Workbox is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role will report directly to the Senior Accountant and Financial Analyst and work with the CFO and members from all departments on a regular basis. This role is perfect for someone who identifies as a solution-oriented, problem-solving professional who is passionate about helping build a fast-growing flexible U.S. commercial office operator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·   Month End Close: Take ownership of assigned areas and assist team to ensure month end close is executed in a timely and accurate manner.

·   Accounts Payable: Manage the company’s payment platform and take ownership of the expenditure cycle.

·   Accounts Receivable: Assist in reviewing invoices and payment receipts, work with Sales department to ensure accurate billing each month, monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.

·   Fixed Asset Management: Responsible for identifying and accounting for the capitalization of fixed assets and the reconciliation of capital work in progress.

·   Cash Management: Coordinate and review cash receipts/transfers to determine short-term cash needs for real estate entities.

·   Assist in Annual Financial Statement Audit and Tax Return: Support external auditors and tax preparers by providing necessary documentation and information.

·   Ad-hoc Projects: Complete various projects assigned by the Accounting and Finance department.

Requirements

·   Educational Background: 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

·   Experience: 1+ year of experience in an accounting or finance role

·   Organizational Skills: Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

·   Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail

·   Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and willingness to assist colleagues when necessary

·   Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and proficiency in at least one accounting system
