Full Job Description
Hire Resolve is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to join our esteemed client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing general bookkeeping duties, payroll preparation, sales tax return preparation, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, maintaining vendor contact information, preparing payroll tax returns, financial statements, and handling additional duties as assigned. The candidate must have strong organizational skills, be proficient in accounting software, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts (bank reconciliations).
- Prepare payroll, including related payroll tax returns and deposits.
- Prepare sales tax returns accurately and timely.
- Manage accounts receivable, including receiving payments, handling inquiries, and billing clients.
- Manage accounts payable, including paying invoices and handling payment inquiries.
- Maintain vendor contact information and ensure accuracy.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns in compliance with regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
- Hold an associate degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrate two to three years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks with prior experience is essential.
- Experience in tax preparation is advantageous.
- Possess exceptional time management skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational prowess and meticulous attention to detail.
- Display adept problem-solving abilities and thrive in self-directed work environments.
- Ability to handle intricate tasks associated with accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Demonstrate professional communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Exhibit a high level of computer literacy.
- Exercise sound judgment and intuitive decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
- Maintain consistent and dependable attendance records.
