Job Summary:

The Human Resources Intern will handle a variety of entry-level projects and administrative tasks as assigned by the HR Generalists. 

Degree, Major, Field of Study, Course Requirements (if applicable):

Applicants must:

  • Applicants must:
    • Be enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, or
    • Have a declared field of study and enrolled full-time in an Associate’s degree program, or equivalency to full-time enrollment when attending a trade school or certification program; or
    • Have recently graduated with a degree or certification from these programs within the last six months.
  • Applicants should be seeking a degree or certification in business or a related field.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Coordinate availability and schedule interviews/meetings via email and phone with SupplyCore personnel as assigned by the HR Generalists.
  • Maintain the personnel files for the HR Department, including new hire paperwork.  Ensure each file is organized and accurately maintained.
  • Assist with employee relations including exit interviews, questions, issues, and concerns.
  • Conduct data entry as required (benefit calculations, department changes, company property, HRIS updates).
  • Assist the HR Generalists with new hire onboarding.  Ensure the necessary materials are in place for each new hire prior to their first day.  Hosts a new hire orientation by the end of summer.
  • Work with the HR staff, draft and maintain up-to-date work instructions for HR processes.
  • Research and draft policy.
  • Assist in the full cycle recruiting process.
  • As needed, draft department correspondence via email.
  • Participate and assist on the SupplyCore’s Summer Internship Program, Activities & Recognition Committees. 
  • Ability to always maintain employee confidentiality.
  • Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines. 
  • Ability to conduct research independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to engage in and exchange communication with others in all situations.
  • PC Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
