Full Job Description
Under the general direction of the ICOM Chief Information Officer, the Systems Administrator will help manage our cloud-based, serverless environment with a focus on Apple products. This role involves co-managing our network infrastructure, automating workflows, and supporting our SaaS ecosystem. They will monitor and manage current systems usage, proposing updates, upgrades, and solutions based on analysis performed. The Systems Administrator will also provide tiers one and two support for hardware, software, and A/V media as needed.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with users to define SaaS application problems, evaluate procedures, and propose solutions
- Co-manage and maintain network infrastructure, specifically Cisco Meraki
- Develop and evaluate workflow solutions by analyzing system needs and alternatives
- Coordinate with vendors to implement solutions and ensure production meets specifications
- Validate system performance by testing programs and solutions
- Manage and maintain cloud-based user databases and account provisioning through JumpCloud
- Document processes and provide reference materials for users and internal teams
- Provide end-user training and support for system operations
- Research emerging technologies and assess their potential for improving efficiency and effectiveness
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support management decisions on IT upgrades
- Collaborate with Technical Support Specialists on troubleshooting and support
- Propose and implement system upgrades, updates, and improvements based on performance monitoring
- Oversee the installation and configuration of new hardware and software to meet organizational needs
- Perform system tests to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering information systems and/or at least 3 years proven experience in a related position
- Experience working in and supporting Apple macOS and iPadOS hardware, software, and applications
Preferred:
- Proven experience in Software architecture, design, documentation, testing, maintenance and/or development of applications
- Networking experience a plus with familiarity using Meraki
- Experience in software development methodologies and programming languages preferred

- Proficient in managing cloud-based, serverless environments and SaaS applications
- Experience with Apple device management
- Network administration, particularly with Cisco Meraki
- Knowledge of endpoint security and monitoring tools, including tools such as Jamf Protect, Crowdstrike Falcon, and Wazuh
- Scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Ability to stay calm and credible in high-pressure situations, maintaining professionalism
- Respect for confidentiality and commitment to data privacy standards
