Our dedicated team of mental health professionals is expanding rapidly, now extending our comprehensive behavioral health services beyond Skilled Nursing Facilities to include an exciting and rapidly growing Outpatient Program, leveraging state of the art Telehealth solutions.

We're currently in search of a Regional Medical Director (RMD), a licensed Psychiatrist, to lead our SNF Psychiatry practice in the vibrant state of Idaho. In this role, the RMD will not only provide top-tier clinical care but will also oversee clinical operations for the region, ensuring seamless coordination and support for both our skilled nursing facilities and our rapidly expanding Outpatient Program. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients as scheduled or as needed for diagnoses, medication management, capacity, etc.
  • Conduct psychiatric reassessments and cognitive screening as indicated.
  • Provide acute coverage for urgent issues and schedule rounding as needed.
  • Prescribe, direct, or administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Document encounters, maintain medical records, and prepare psychiatric reports.
  • Participate in staff conferences, gradual dose reduction meetings, and other supportive functions.
  • Assist in developing and organizing a program of treatment and rounding frequency for sites in the region.
  • Clinical supervision of providers' diagnoses, medication regimens, and other aspects of care in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Serve as a clinical consultant to facility and BHS clinic staff.
  • Assist in establishing enterprise-wide best practices for psychiatric programs and policies.
  • Oversee ancillary staff and assist in determining best administrative practices for the region.
  • Assist with training providers and staff regarding clinical and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Appraise clinical staff performance and oversee development, remediation, and recognition.
  • Foster and maintains relationships with staff and leadership in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
  • Frequent facility visits for clinical, administrative and customer service functions.
  • Develop plan for starting new facilities, assist with administrative coordination and identify clinical coverage.
  • Engage with potential facilities to provide education on BHS services.
  • Address regional internal and external complaints and issues.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.
  • Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • BC/BE Psychiatrist.
  • Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility are required.
  • Possession of a valid license as a physician is required.
  • Initial acceptance may be based on licensure as a physician in another state; licensure as a physician in this state is required before appointment.
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license and personal transportation is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, or reaching.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: Starting at $275,000.00+ per year
