The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family or Internal Medicine Faculty to join our team in providing high-quality education and training to our medical students. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of faculty to develop and implement the Family or Internal Medicine curriculum.
  • Conduct lectures, seminars, and workshops to educate and engage medical students in their pursuit of knowledge and skills.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in their research projects and scholarly activities.
  • Participate in curriculum evaluation and improvement efforts to ensure the program remains aligned with the latest medical practices and advancements.
  • Engage in academic and scholarly pursuits that create and add knowledge in the medical field.
  • Contribute to the administrative functions of the department and college by participating in faculty meetings and committees.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Family or Internal Medicine.
  • Previous experience working as a faculty member in a medical school or academic setting is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and mentor medical students.
  • Ability to contribute to scholarly activities through research, publications, and presentations.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical advances.
