The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Partner Account Specialist to join our team, based in Tokyo, Japan or Honolulu, Hawai’i. You will work with game developers and manga creators to deliver fun experiences and maximize fan happiness. You will foster great relationships with developers, advising and helping them achieve their goals from early stages of a product’s life cycle all the way through initial launch and beyond. 

A successful candidate will love gaming and manga, with a passion for building partner relationships and bringing joy to fans. An insatiable desire to learn and grow is essential for this role, as you will work with many different disciplines and need to develop an understanding and appreciation of each. This includes promotional planning, community events, creating bundles and discounts/sales, cross-collaborations with characters from different game and manga worlds, negotiating deals for new business ideas, and more. For the partners and products you work on, you will be the first point of contact for teams internally and externally, with the ability to understand and find resolutions for all issues that may impact publishing. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day business activity and relations with partners and being the main point of contact for specific partners and products 
  • Ensure internal teams are aligned to deliver and support key content and initiatives 
  • Lead product release and lifecycle planning with internal departments and partners
  • Develop key metrics of success and conduct performance analysis for key content and initiatives
  • Communicate business, platform, and policy updates to internal and external teams.
  • Facilitate data analysis requests internally and externally
  • Lead the way in resolving  issues that arise during development, working together with business and technical team members to keep everyone on track with shipping and maintaining a seamless customer experience 
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute fun and unique campaigns and events

Requirements

  • Fluency in English is a must with Japanese fluency a plus
  • Passion for gaming with excellent knowledge of the industry
  • 1+ years of professional experience in PC and/or console gaming
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Articulate verbal and written communicator with presentation and relationship management skills
  • Great at brainstorming creative ideas in a group setting
  • An intuitive understanding of what makes gaming, manga, and fan communities thrive
