We are looking to immediately hire a Consultant (Junior) to join our growing team in the public sector. In this role, you will support, contribute and/or lead projects for customers in federal, state and local governments, helping them with their mission objectives. You will have an opportunity to work with senior government leaders, and on high profile projects and engagements.
You will conduct scenario planning efforts under a Climate Change and Communities Program in the Western Pacific Region. The primary goal is to explore and describe scenarios for Western Pacific fisheries under potential changing climate conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in scenario planning, convening and facilitating outreach sessions as well as building relationships with colleagues in fisheries management, industry, academia, and indigenous communities to develop adaptive climate-resistant fishery management regimes for longline fisheries and small-boat fisheries in response to climate change.

You will play a key role in helping public sector organizations solve their most complex problems; identify key business questions and hypotheses and deliver insights and recommendations to inform key government-wide policies and decisions.
What You Will Do
Consultants will contribute to client engagements by leading problem solving and data analysis, delivering client presentations, and managing client relationships – becoming a trusted advisor and client champion. Consultants will also work closely with the senior leadership team on business development and firm strategy to support growth
Client Engagement: identify key business questions to deliver insights to decision-makers; engage with project team/s and customers to ensure client satisfaction; serve as a trusted advisor to clients; act as a champion for the customer.
Requirements
- Required: Experience in the following areas: scenario planning in climate change and adaptation, fishery management regulations and processes, management plan and strategy development, project management, fishing community and stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree; Master's degree is desired but not required.
- 2+ years in management consulting and/or experience with leading complex problems. Experience with the US Federal Government is desired but not required.
- Related Education in one or more of the following areas: wildlife and biodiversity conservation, natural resource conservation, fishery management, environmental policy and analysis.
- Strong leadership, communication (oral and written), logic, innovation, and collaboration skills.
- Analytical skills. Knowledge and experience in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Strong interpersonal writing and editing skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the US and obtain a security clearance.
