Welcome to Magnolia Treats! How does getting a free ice cream scoop sound every time you come to work? How about smiling and talking to customers about our delicious flavors and our Halo Halo! At Magnolia Treats, we are passionate about our Tropical Ice Cream flavors and our famous Halo Halo! We are currently hiring for the Summer, so go ahead apply, we are waiting for you to join our Team.

Cashier/Food Server is responsible for the timely preparation and exhibition assembly of a fresh quality ice cream and or treat product. This position also handles cash and is expected to abide by cash handling procedures.

Compensation

We offer competitive compensation for part-time employees. Compensation is based on experience.

Essential Functions

  • Provide customers excellent, friendly service while performing cashier duties at counter.
  • Read tickets and prepare, to order, all food items following standard recipes and procedures within specified time limits (8-10 minutes at lunch; 10-12 minutes at dinner). Prepare recipes and plate presentations, correctly set up according to tickets.
  • Prep for assigned food items. Wash and clean raw food products. Peel, dice, shred and slice food products using electric equipment. Count all prepped items used in prep area checking for quality and proper rotation. All halo halo is prepped a minimum of twice daily or once each shift.
  • Maintain prep line in a clean, sanitary and safe manner. Complete daily/weekly cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Maintain personal health and sanitation standards.
  • Stock/restock items on line according to specifications.
  • Label, date, rotate and store all items properly.
  • Receives deliveries when assigned.
  • Assists with training new employees.

Work Environment

This job entails frequent exposure to varied temperatures, humidity and extreme cold. There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, fruit products, and produce items and shaved ice.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and stand. The employee is frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir, pour, carry, push and lift objects up to 75 pounds. There is substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands and fingers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time position, with a schedule that can vary weekly, with approximately 30 hours per week.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • One year of prior restaurant work experience.
  • High School Graduate

Job Type: Part-time and Full time

Pay: Starting $14.00/per hour
