Full Job Description
CTI is seeking an experienced Airborne Command and Control Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in providing innovative solutions and support to our clients. As an Airborne Command and Control SME, you will be responsible for supporting U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) J81 Innovation and Experimentation Division, INDOPACOM staff, and subordinate components.
You will provide expertise in planning and executing experiments, operational tests, and technology evaluations related to airborne command and control systems. You will collect, analyze, and interpret technical data and financial information relating to airborne command and control capabilities acquisition and other product programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to leadership and project teams on airborne command and control operations and tactical datalink employment in achieving innovative solutions to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command warfighting challenges.
- Collaborate with and lead project teams to develop and implement effective solutions and strategies related to airborne command and control and tactical datalinks.
- Review, assess, and develop project proposals, plans, and deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with U.S. Indo-Pacific Command requirements and objectives.
- Participate in project meetings, working groups, and other forums to provide subject matter expertise and guidance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including military personnel, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in airborne command and control operations and tactical datalink systems.
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction in the development of new capabilities and solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Necessary Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, computer science, information technology).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in airborne command and control operations and tactical datalink expertise, with at least one tour of duty implementing or instructing C2 principles, doctrine, and naval tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of fleet training policy documents, including the Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) and the Fleet Training Continuum (FTC).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- The ability to obtain a US security clearance post start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent experience as a project manager, demonstrating a solid foundation in project management principles, methodologies, and practical experience.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, computer science, information technology).
- Experience as a senior grade naval flight officer (NFO) from the carrier airborne early warning aircraft (VAW) community with high-level (command or senior staff) experience in airborne C2 operations.
- Prior experience working with or supporting tactical training groups or major training commands.
- Experience in developing and implementing training curricula and modifying training event/exercise scenarios.
