We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Systems Engineer with expertise in Group Policy Management to join our team. The ideal candidate will have bankingindustry experience and be responsible for assessing, recommending, testing, implementing, and optimizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for Windows 11 systems. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with NIST and CIS hardening benchmarks, enhancing the security and performance of enterprise IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
Group Policy Management:
- Develop, configure, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for Windows 11.
- Perform GPO testing and validation to ensure system security and compliance.
Compliance and Hardening:
- Align GPO configurations with NIST and CIS benchmarks.
- Conduct system hardening and security reviews to meet organizational standards.
Assessment and Optimization:
- Assess existing GPO configurations, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Optimize GPOs for performance, scalability, and security.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of GPO configurations and changes.
- Provide reports on compliance status and security enhancements.
Knowledge Transfer and Training:
- Train IT staff on GPO management and maintenance best practices.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth handover post-implementation.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT Security, Infrastructure, and Compliance teams to align system configurations with enterprise security goals.
Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Windows systems engineering, with a focus on Group Policy management.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows 11 and enterprise IT environments.
- Strong understanding of NIST and CIS benchmarks.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) for automation and GPO management.
- Experience with Active Directory and related technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or CompTIA Security+.
- Banking Industry Experience
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) with strict compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with auditing tools and compliance reporting software.
