Full Job Description
We are looking for a Service Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Elitron's robotic cutting solutions. Elitron's systems are widely adopted across several industries, including leather goods, signs and display, packaging, gaskets, foams, composites, and other industrial materials. You will be able to work for a company that develops innovative solutions that help its customers achieve their business goals.
± 60/70% Phone Support/Office Tasks ± 40/30% Field Service Support
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Elitron's robotic cutting solutions at customer sites.
- Conduct training sessions with customers' employees In-house, on-site, or via remote connection.
- Perform preventive maintenance activities to ensure Elitron's systems operate efficiently and effectively.
- Use our Customer Management Software to track service calls, manage inventory parts and record job tasks.
- Complete service reports and related paperwork timely and accurately.
- Work collaboratively with Elitron's Sales and Technical Support teams to resolve customer issues and provide a high level of service.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in field service work, preferably in machinery or automation preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of customer service for both phone and face-to-face interaction.
- Strong oral and written communication skills,
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Readiness to travel to customer sites, nationally and internationally, on short notice.
- PC skills/knowledge
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a drug test and a background check is a must.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, and conversational Spanish would be an asset.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
