Founded at Stanford University, Walaris develops autonomous AI-based solutions focused on enhancing situational awareness. Our AirScout software platform uses artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and edge computing to detect threats in the air, over water, or on the ground. Our cutting-edge technology is utilized by commercial, government, and military users to increase situational awareness in and around sensitive locations.

Software developers at Walaris are the heart of our company, solving challenging technical problems using the latest technologies. They develop real-time machine learning & image processing systems and continuously design new concepts to generate innovative software solutions. They work together in cross-functional and international teams to exceed the expectations of our customers.
At our headquarters in Peachtree Corners, we are looking for a Senior Software Developer starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Propose new concepts for our software architecture, improving performance and realizing new customer requirements
- Integrate our software platform with other sensor and/or actuator systems
- Develop AI/ML image processing systems for real-time situational awareness software with high-data rates
- Define work packages for subcontractors and approve the development services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure that internal-stakeholder requirements from R&D, sales, and product management are consolidated and included
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
- Significant experience in real-time image processing with high-data rates, preferably in an AI-related software developer role
- Extensive knowledge in object-oriented development (Python, C++, or similar languages) as well as first-hand experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, Flask, GStreamer and Deepstream
- Extensive experience with Linux-based development
- Experience developing unit tests
- Experience with virtualization or containerization frameworks such as Docker
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
Export Control Requirements
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
