Sinton Scott Minock & Kerew is a sophisticated and rapidly growing litigation boutique firm located in Buckhead. Our firm seeks a knowledgeable Senior Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal focused on delivering exceptional results and providing excellent client care to join our team. Our Senior Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal is expected to have 10+ years of Georgia plaintiff’s personal injury civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, impeccable problem-solving skills, and be comfortable working directly with attorneys on complex personal injury cases.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Managing complex personal injury litigation matters from intake through resolution, including taking proactive initiative to push cases forward with minimal oversight;
- Collaborating with partners and associates daily to support legal proceedings;
- Drafting pleadings and discovery materials;
- Filing legal documents, including complaints, and coordinating service of process;
- Conducting legal research and reviewing discovery materials and summarizing findings for attorney review;
- Assisting in trial preparation (organizing exhibits, creating trial binders, coordinating/communicating court logistics, and supporting trial presentation);
- Managing calendars, including scheduling depositions, mediations, and other case-related events;
- Obtaining and reviewing medical records and preparing related summaries;
- Efficiently organizing case files and ensuring deadlines are met; and
- Leading lien negotiation efforts and accurate case expense accounting prior to disbursement.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation experience (State and Federal Courts—Georgia)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and proactive attitude
- Proficient in all e-filing platforms
- Proficient in Office 365 Suite and Adobe Pro
- Experience with Case Management Software (Filevine, Clio, MyCase, etc.).
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Paralegal Certification
- Experience with Mac Operating Systems
