Today, Martin Docks utilizes the best materials and latest computer aided design technology to produce custom docks that are truly built to last. As we grow and continue the tradition of building top quality boat docks on Lake Sydney Lanier and other bodies of water in the surrounding region we are expanding and hiring more people to keep up with the demand.

Martin Docks is seeking a self motivated person with a professional personality and presentation to fill the position of Receptionist at our 1740 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville GA Sales Office. This is a full-time, hourly, permanent position, eligible for medical benefits after 60 days. The Receptionist is vital to the operations of the Sales and Customer Service Departments. The Receptionist is responsible first and foremost for exceptional customer service as they are the first customer contact. The Receptionist must be able to multi-task and take direction from multiple individuals and prioritize work flow. As a member of the Sales & Service Departments, the Receptionist will answer & route incoming phone calls, and assist customers who walk in, email or call. They will perform clerical duties for other members of the administrative department as needed.

This position is scheduled Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour scheduled lunch,) but other hours may be required infrequently.

$17 - $19 per hour DOE


Primary Duties include, but is not an exhaustive list:

  • Answer, document and route incoming phone calls, or take and route messages.
  • Greet and assist walk in customers, applicants and vendors.
  • Receive customer payments. Post customer payments. Provide receipts.
  • Data Entry.
  • Organize and order food for office meetings.
  • Calling, emailing customers on behalf of the sales team.
  • File, make copies, prepare reports, and prepare mail.
  • General housekeeping of sales floor.
  • Purchase and stock office supplies
  • Scan and file documents for different departments as needed.
  • Other admin, receptionist, and sales duties will be required frequently.

Requirements

  • Education
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education
  • Experience, Ability and Attributes
    • Professional look, attitude, and communication
    • Genuinely enjoys people and it shows
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Receptionist/front desk experience
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook Programs, or Microsoft 365
    • Ability to multi-task and work without direct supervision
    • Exceptional attendance
    • Post contingent job offer, must be able to pass a drug screen
    • Post contingent job offer, must be eligible to work in the United States
    • Post contingent job offer, must be agreeable to a background check
    • Ability to work overtime if required
