Position Summary:
Employee will be responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing process to ensure our products comply with the quality standards before shipment and sale to the consumer. Employee will perform receiving inspection testing, inspect components before assembly, conduct periodic product checks during production, analyze products during development, or test finished goods. Employee will also assist the Quality Manager in reviewing existing inspection and manufacturing process to improve present Quality Management System.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring product quality during production operation.
- Perform, inspect, test and log incoming material per ISO or material requirements.
- To initiate or review Nonconforming Material Reports to assist the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager in determining root cause and the need for corrective action.
- To initiate and assist the Quality Manager in reviewing Supplier Corrective Action Requests
- To initiate and assist the Quality Manager in investigating and facilitating to closure CARs/PAR’s (Corrective and Preventative Actions) originating from internal and external audits.
- Monitor, record and log scrap/rework/returned product per ISO or disposition requirement from QA Manager.
- Monitor equipment calibration due dates and keep all equipment current. Contact gage calibration vendor for quotes and ship out timelines.
- Perform ISO 9001 internal audits.
- Assessing customer complaints for root cause of product failures.
- Inspect finished goods for conformance to specifications.
- Utilize technical skills to analyze problems with materials and processes and work with the Quality Manger and/or Quality Engineer to implement effective corrective actions.
- Perform, collect and log product test data.
- Performing failure and routine analysis.
- Auditing materials and processes for improvement.
- Keep Quality Lab organized and equipment/tooling in proper locations.
- Completing administrative and production functions as assigned by QA Manager and /or Quality Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting
- Computer experience with knowledge of Word and Excel
- Experience performing Verification and Validation of materials and processes
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
- Experience in quality system auditing (internal audits) a plus
- Neatness and accuracy
