Position: Project Manager
Reporting to: Director of People Performance (based in the U.K.)
Location: Atlanta, G.A. – Hybrid working model, attendance in the office is expected at least 2 days a week.

Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of client projects within the agreed timescale. This includes managing timelines, budgets, resource and financial performance, ensuring that all key milestones are met. You will collaborate closely with clients, our internal consulting and sales team members and senior internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and high client satisfaction. Additionally, you will act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
Project Management & Delivery
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts, ensuring strong alignment with client objectives and expectations. Work closely with the PMO team to ensure the plans are accurately reflected in Kimble (project management software).
- Resource Forecasting: Coordinate with our Resource Coordinator and Director of People Performance to forecast resource needs for current and upcoming projects, ensuring appropriate staffing and skillset alignment.
- Timeline Management: Monitor and manage project timelines, working with the Director of Program Management to identify any potential delays early and proactively addressing any risks to keep the project on track.
- Milestone Tracking: Track key project milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed on time and within scope. Regularly reporting progress to internal senior leadership and external clients.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks (e.g., timeline, budget, resource) and proactively develop mitigation strategies, keeping our internal senior leadership and finance team updated throughout.
Financial Oversight
- Budget Management: Ensure that projects are delivered within budget, managing any changes in scope or resource needs that may impact costs.
- Revenue Forecasting: Forecast project revenue, monitor progress against financial targets, and ensure that financial milestones are achieved.
- Client Invoicing & Billing: Oversee the preparation of client invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing in accordance with agreed-upon terms.
- Financial Reporting: Provide regular updates on the financial health of projects, including profitability analysis and variance reporting.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Team Leadership: Supporting internal client Engagement teams to ensure clear communication, coordination, and collaboration among team members.
- Mentoring & Development: Mentor junior project managers and Engagement Managers, providing guidance on best practices, process improvement, and professional development.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other internal departments, such as sales, consulting, and finance to ensure seamless execution of projects.
Requirements
You are a great match if you...
- Have an undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Management or a similar field.
- Have a minimum of 2 years professional experience in project management, ideally in consulting, professional services or a similar client facing environment.
- Have a track record of successful project delivery or project management of client engagements, ideally within large organizations.
- Proven knowledge of Project Management methods and tools (e,g. Kantata, MS Project)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage stakeholder expectations, including presenting and interacting with external clients.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage time and resources effectively.
- A growth mindset with a track record of driving value in changing situations.
- Willingness to travel to client and company meetings as required. Although most travel will be domestic, there may be some international travel.
- Advanced competency with Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of analytics tools, such as PowerBI and advanced use of Excel is essential.
