Position Summary: CorDx is currently looking for a highly motivated Production Technician to join our R&D scientific team as a non exempt key member in developing IVD point-of-care immunoassays for rapid detection of infectious pathogens. The position is a technical role reporting to the team’s lead scientist and R&D manager.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing daily testing needed for all aspects of lateral flow assay production under the supervision of the team technical leads and senior scientists.
  • Supporting lab functions such as organization, inventory, equipment QC, and preparation of buffers and reagents.
  • Assisting with other tasks as necessary.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in good lab techniques, organizational and documentation practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to design and experimental changes.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience handling clinical biological samples such as urine, swabs, saliva, and blood.

Work Environment Information:

  • Position responsibilities include work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab (BSL-2) and a humidity-controlled environment.
  • Requires attention to detail for the production and inspection of lateral flow assay products.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 30lbs with assistance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
