Prep Cook for Catering team

StaffWerk Catering Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Prep Cook to join our dynamic team. As a leading provider of catering services for corporate events, weddings, and special occasions, StaffWerk Catering Services is committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our clients. The Prep Cook will play a key role in food preparation and assist in creating delicious dishes that will impress our clients and their guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food items for events, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
• Measure and portion ingredients accurately according to recipes and event requirements
• Assist with food prep and assembling & plating
• Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and organized
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and equipment
• Work as a team to break down and load equipment at the end
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a catering or culinary setting
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen sanitation
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with excellent multitasking and time management skills
• Flexibility in schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in ingredient preparation and portioning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with catering team members

Pay from $15 - $16 per hour
