Full Job Description

The Safety Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Safety Manager through, but not limited to, organizational support, data entry, and general administrative duties.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assist the Safety Manager in executing workplace health and safety plans in accordance with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assist with updating and maintaining the safety manual, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety resources
  • Assist with site incident notifications and case management
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to facilitate communication and document sharing
  • Provide administrative support with Help Scout (safety communications) and the safety management software
  • Organize and maintain the digital filing system through SharePoint, internal drives, etc.
  • Audit data within the safety management system to ensure accurate reporting
  • Manage special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a high-volume business environment
  • Previous experience working in an administrative, safety, or similar role is required
  • OSHA knowledge and understanding of safety practices preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe software
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to perform as a responsible ESOP owner by making daily decisions to benefit the client and the company
