Materials Supervisor

Assists the Materials Manager in leading the material’s department.  This is to include both department’s personnel (shipping, receiving, stockroom, warehouse, fabrication, ancillary weld and paint). The supervisor is to ensure all daily functions of the departments are effectively operated by performing the following duties.

• Supervises the actions of all direct personnel in the departments of Materials, FAB, Ancillary Weld, and Paint.
• Enters pertinent information into the company ERP system to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, work hours and all other relevant records.
• Leads the stock room personnel to ensure all inventory aspects are accounted.
• Ensures all materials are pulled daily for all jobs including the structural and electrical prep cell.
• Ensures schedule adherence, aligns priorities, and aids in allocating resources where needed.
• Ensures documentation of all product through Pre-assembly operations.
• Aids in leading morning huddles and communicating effectively with reports.
• Aids in training all reports.  To include development of work instructions and hands on training.
• Fosters an environment of safety, continuous improvement, quality and cleanliness.
• Endeavors to create a workplace environment that is enjoyable, engenders pride in the product and focus on the customer, and provides room for individual responsibilities and ideas.
• Assists in other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of three years' experience in Materials Management / Supply Chain. Ability to demonstrate supervisory skills are required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and working in an ERP system.
• Forklift driver capability with certifications preferred, will re-certify.
