POSITION SUMMARY: 

Injection Molding Operator III will ensure that manufacturing procedures are carried out to meet or exceed customers’ expectation and specification requirements. Preparations may include managing settings, carrying out tests and regulating the manufacturing processes to ensure that it runs flawlessly throughout the production run.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS

• Regularly volunteer to help others without hesitation.

• Easily transitions from one area to another with no hesitation.

• Learning machines in other areas of the plant beyond the currently assigned department.

• Rarely achieve less than 85% efficiency on any machine that you work on with little to no quality issues.

• Ability to resolve small mechanical problems and cleaning lasers and replacing filters.

• Identifies errors in travelers and brings them to the supervisor’s attention.

• Utilizes 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices to identify improvements for the company and brings them leadership and supports the changes and encourages other to do the same.

• Has excellent communication skills.

• Accepts ownership and responsibility.

• Ability to train in all areas of the assigned department.

• May act as a fill in lead, making labels and pulling pallets to the warehouse.

• Ready to move into a leadership role.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate any issues of concern which could prevent 100% on time delivery to leadership.

• Maintain a clean and organized work station using 5S standards of Lean Manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to read and understand the specifics of a Job Traveler.

• Must be able to read and understand a Bill of Materials.

• Must be able to use appropriate measuring devices to determine quality. May include a ruler, micrometer, go-no go gauge, etc.
