Are you someone who loves talking to people 🗣️, traveling ✈️, and working with kids 👩🏫? Well, I work at Education Travel and Culture, a nonprofit high school exchange student organization. We are looking to grow our GA team, so we're on the lookout for amazing individuals like you to mentor teens from other countries!
You can enjoy all these interests (and maybe gain some new ones too!), new cultures 🌍, and build meaningful relationships 🔗. As an ETC Local Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in finding amazing host families and then supporting those host families and students. If you love volunteering and supporting kids, have great people skills, are organized, want to share your strengths with others and are self-motivated, then we need you 🫵! We will provide quality training for the other skills.
Plus, you will have a flexible work schedule, the opportunity to make a meaningful change and the travel incentives are great as well. Pay is commission based. Job Description:
- Find and recruit host families based on your interests and activities
- Assist the family through the application process, including helping them pick their student
- Oversee the student(s) once they are here
- See each student in person each month and check in with the host family as well
- Complete a monthly report for each student
- Plan and attend fun events and activities
Requirements
- Complete required trainings and meet deadlines
- Must pass a background check
- Must have reliable transportation and insurance coverage
Benefits
Pay is commission based with length of employment bonuses:
- Placements: $300-$400 one-time payment
- Monthly Supervision: $90-$100 a month per student
- $100 Bonus: early placements or meeting state requests
- Recruiting Challenges: chance to earn bonuses, swag or trip points
- Incentive Trips and chaperoning student trips
