Lead Software Engineer

Rockstar is recruiting for a fast-growing, well-funded, early-stage company based in Atlanta. The company is building the future of insurance, helping to expedite the recovery process for those impacted by natural disasters by utilizing data to provide payouts in a matter of days.

The Role
The cost of home insurance is rising at an alarming rate, and the industry needs a solution. Utilizing technology to accurately detect damage at a structure, our client's losses are more resilient to macroeconomic factors, allowing us to provide consistent and affordable coverage to homeowners that need it.

As the Lead Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront, leading the development and deployment of our webapps, where thousands of independent insurance agents interact with our system. You will work closely with the founders as you build out new features and optimize existing software. Join us, as we grow rapidly, innovate relentlessly, and redefine the future of insurance. This role will be a full-time position on-site in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the founders to deliver platform improvements and new features.
• Refine current code structure to increase agility.
• Maintain and improve our current systems to enhance performance, scalability, and security.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a software engineer position.
• Proficiency in full-stack web development including front-end and back-end technologies.
• Familiarity with standard codebase practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Knowledge of databases, system architecture, and creating scalable solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
