Phasor USA, LLC. is a dynamic North America based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Protection & Control Engineer to join our field services team on a full-time basis. If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.
Responsibilities:
· Complete detailed protection and control design packages encompassing SLPMD’s, three lines, logic diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
· Review engineered outputs to ensure compliance with project defined scopes and client requirements.
· Develop and maintain project specific bill of materials.
· Prepare calculation reports documenting the development of protective relay settings.
· Use simulation software to conduct fault studies & check protection coordination.
· Prepare relay configurations using vendor supplied software.
· Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.
· Ensure design components conform to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
· Interface with senior personnel to resolve potential technical and project issues.
· Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
Qualifications:
- Currently Licensed as Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or PE
· Experience in P&C design.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an extreme attention to detail are essential.
· Solid base knowledge of electrical theory and mathematics.
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues simultaneously.
· Strong analytical, risk assessment and problem solving skills.
· Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA etc.) would be advantageous.
