Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Onsite - Atlanta Office

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles. The Junior Accountant will assist with the preparation of financial statements, perform various accounting tasks, and support the overall accounting function of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform daily and monthly accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Manage the processing of invoices, ensure timely payment of bills, and handle collections on outstanding accounts.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant regulations, and tax laws.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for external and internal audits.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices; familiarity with GAAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
