The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, monitoring stock movements, and ensuring that materials and products are properly accounted for. This role supports operational efficiency by organizing and managing inventory processes, following established quality standards, and collaborating with team members to meet business objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
- Track and maintain accurate inventory records using the company’s inventory management system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supplies are available while avoiding overstock.
- Accurately input inventory data into the system and maintain updated records.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends as required by management.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
- Adhere to established quality standards and processes.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the business unit.
- Follow work instructions provided by Supervisors and Managers.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to achieve operational goals.
- Perform tasks efficiently and minimize waste of resources.
Requirements
- Must be familiar with computer operation and use of keyboard and mouse
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with barcoding systems and handheld scanners is advantageous.
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions and work without close supervision.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must be willing to accept new tasks as required.
- Epicor, Microsoft Office suite, basic computer knowledge.
- Job requires ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time, to move freely about the plant, and to work extended hours if needed.
