Full Job Description
To assist with ensuring that all Turning Point Church key/annual events are led and executed with excellence, as well as overseeing all weekend/first impression volunteer hospitality teams. This role is to help make Turning Point Church environments both impressionable and irresistible to both guests and members alike.
Responsible for capturing tof our Pastors for the following key events, developing event timelines and action plans for each to be successful with its intended goal:
- Easter & Christmas Services
- Glisten (Women’s) Nights or Conferences
- Warrior (Men’s) Nights or Conferences
- Marriage/Finance Simulcast or Events
- Kids & Student Conferences/Trips
- Recruit, develop and lead an events volunteer team to help support all key church events, providing them with key opportunities to help plan and lead when necessary.
- Work directly with all event-related vendors responsible for providing goods and services for Turning Point Church events or programs, ensuring contracts and fees are competitive and in the best interest of our church and its annual budget.
- Responsible for developing and stewarding over all event budgets, along with maintaining all financial policies and spending procedures of Turning Point Church.
- Responsible for working with the creative staff to receive, assign and schedule all event related creative needs (i.e., graphics, video, print, web, etc), ensuring all are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist with organizing all promotional campaigns and calendars for new events and conferences.
- Meet regularly with key first impression/hospitality team members and leaders (parking, greeters, ushers, welcome desk, etc) in order to encourage them and help prepare them for weekend services.
- Research and implement best practices for first impression teams and help to oversee all first impression-related budget, equipment and needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's from an accredited institution of higher education in communications, marketing or related field preferred
- At least 2-3 years of event planning or related work
- Able to meet deadlines and balance several different projects at once
- Outgoing, energetic, and able to work productively and cooperatively as a team member in responding to changing needs and priorities
- General knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including accurate proofreading and editing skills
