Engagement Specialist

Tangelo is dedicated to improving healthy food access and promoting healthier lifestyles by making nutritious, affordable, and delicious food options accessible through a benefits platform for low-income families and those with chronic conditions. Our platform provides subsidized medically tailored meals and healthy grocery delivery at reduced costs, or even free, through partnerships with insurance companies, governments, universities, non-profits, and employers.

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Engagement Specialist who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with our target audience, building meaningful relationships, and driving positive interactions. This role requires a blend of creativity, communication skills, and strategic thinking to enhance our engagement efforts across various platforms and channels.

Role Scope

• Consistently connect with customers within a specified demographic to build relationships, identify pain points, and promote customer retention
• Develop and execute engagement strategies to connect with our target audience, including customers, stakeholders, community members, and partners
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, partners, and community leaders to amplify our engagement efforts and reach
• Use creative methods to attract, retain, and inspire audience engagement across digital and offline channels
• Utilize social media, websites, newsletters, and other communication platforms to foster interaction and dialogue with our audience
• Plan and coordinate events, workshops, webinars, and other engagement activities to deepen connections and facilitate meaningful interactions
• Monitor and respond to inquiries, comments, and feedback from the audience promptly and professionally
• Analyze audience feedback, trends, and data to assess engagement performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations
• Collaborate with internal teams to track and report on key engagement metrics such as reach, engagement rates, sentiment analysis, and conversion rates to measure the impact of engagement initiatives and align engagement strategies with organizational goals and objectives
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to audience engagement, digital marketing, and community outreach

Requirements

• 2-3 years of proven experience in audience engagement, community outreach, or digital marketing roles
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling content and messages
• Experience utilizing social media platforms, content management systems, email marketing tools, and analytics platforms
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative engagement strategies
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and engage with diverse stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize engagement efforts
• Knowledge of audience segmentation, customer journey mapping, and user experience principles is a plus
• Passion for engaging with audiences, driving positive interactions, and contributing to the organization's mission and goals
