Digital Asset Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage DAM processes including initial configuration, groups and permissions, portal creation, advanced properties, digital migrations and metadata entry.

• Create custom workflows based on client needs including custom metadata fields, controlled vocabulary, embedded metadata mapping, attribute profiles, download approval, watermarks, and autotasks.

• Identify bugs in software and create support tickets. Work with support in order to resolve the issue.

• Create custom CMS pages based on client needs.

• Manage collection development process to capture born digital content from emails, press releases, web articles, and other digital repositories.

• Establish periodic review of processes to ensure metadata accuracy and to support easy and consistent search and delivery of assets.

• Monitor and track site usage including both internal and external audiences to identify trends for strategic engagement.

• Stay educated on new trends and technology in the DAM industry.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of experience in Digital Asset Management

• 3 - 5 years of experience in project management, technology-related implementations, and/or strategic planning roles.

• Strong technical background including one or more of the following: digital asset management systems, database management, user experience/user interface design, rich media file formats (image, audio and video) and server-side functionality.

• Excellent oral and written communicator with ability to work with a team of diverse personalities

• Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to excellence

• Able to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines while remaining composed under pressure

• Deep understanding and application of metadata standards like IPTC, EXIF, XMP and XML.

• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and trends in the DAM industry

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coding experience: XML, HTML, CSS, Command Line.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products, Excel, file conversions and transcoding

• Ability to perform demos and remote training sessions with clients
