Full Job Description
Seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our team a Senior Living Community located in Columbus, Georgia. This community services residents in Long-Term Care, Rehab, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. This RD will work with 2-3 other dietitians to support a caseload of ~180-200 residents.

The successful candidate will:
- Be a Registered Dietitian with GA license.
- Provide nutritional care to nursing home, assisted living, and memory care residents.
- Conduct quality improvement initiatives such as test trays and meal rounds.
- Have the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff; and/or have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our residents.
Position Summary:
- Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services
Key Duties:
- Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
- Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
- Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
- Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
- Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments.
Basic Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement:
- Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
- For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
- Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian
