Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
6-10 years of experience supporting data governance and/or data quality initiatives with measurable results.
Proven ability to assist in implementing and maintaining data governance programs across a complex infrastructure.
Experience advocating for data governance practices at various organizational levels and integrating them into company culture.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience creating executive-level reports and materials.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Strong follow-up skills to ensure timely execution of tasks and adherence to timelines.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with data owners, stewards, and other stakeholders.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration to achieve program objectives.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.
Familiarity with educating and influencing stakeholders regarding program goals, objectives, and best practices.
Skills in data analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving to inform data governance solutions.
Strong business acumen and an understanding of the financial services industry or a related field.
Openness to continuous learning and development to remain competitive in the evolving data governance landscape.
Requirements
Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance program to ensure effective control mechanisms are in place to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with teams to manage the data lifecycle and ensure data assets are effectively leveraged to create business value.
Assist in ensuring adherence to the Enterprise Data Governance Framework and Content/Data Governance policy.
Help develop and implement data governance frameworks, control policies, and processes that promote understanding and accountability for proper data usage.
Support enterprise data quality initiatives, including defining strategies, documenting processes, and ensuring the integrity of critical data.
Collaborate with data stewards across the organization, providing training, tools, and support to enable effective data management practices.
Work closely with IT, Information Security, and other operational teams to ensure alignment with data governance objectives.
Monitor and address data quality issues, participating in remediation and certification of critical data elements.
Contribute to defining and tracking metrics and KPIs to measure data governance performance and adherence, leveraging corporate dashboards and analytics tools.
Promote a data governance culture by actively engaging with employees across the organization to emphasize the importance of clean, governed data as a shared responsibility.
Assist in creating and maintaining policies and procedures that enforce reliable, repeatable processes, driving improved data quality and compliance.
