Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, following recipes and guidelines
- Ensure that all food items are cooked to the desired level of doneness and meet quality standards
- Assist in meal planning and menu development, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with excellent multitasking and time management skills
- Flexibility in schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
