Full Job Description
The Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist is responsible for operating and maintaining CT and MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CT and MRI technology and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CT and MRI equipment
- Position patients for scans
- Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions
- Monitor patients during scans and ensure their safety
- Process and evaluate images
- Communicate results to radiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Keep accurate records of patient scans
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest CT and MRI technology
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified in CT and MRI technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience as a CT and MRI Technologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
